Unit 10

In unit three is scored a six in all three areas and by unit nine only the spiritual has increased to a seven. That scored changed because I have gotten more involved in volunteering and spending time in nature to reflect on my spirituality. The physical is a work in progress and although I have increased intensity I haven't really seen any difference yet. For the psychological again although I have implemented meditation I haven't seen much difference yet. I still do see the benefit and will continue.my goal for physical was to increase the intensity level of exercise by joining a gym and hiring a personal trainer. I have started increasing intensity by using the equipment I have until a time when I can afford to join a gym and hire a trainer. For the spiritual goal was to increase my volunteering and I have done that but want to continue. For the psychological I want to reduce stress so I have implemented meditating and am increasing the loving kindness as my Lenten goal. This has been a good course to really see how the entire body is related. I already felt that the whole person is not treated in conventional medicine but this course has shown the areas as well as the path to not only health but happiness.

  1. Hi Leslie, I agree. Spending time in nature is really stress reducing for me. I try to get out most mornings although it's difficult in the winter. I am also implementing meditation I try most days I haven't seen a difference yet either but I just believe its something that takes time the more we do it the better we will get. Good Luck! Lisa

  2. I like the idea that you decided to spend more time in the nature, I think of spiritual well-being as church, fellowship, things of that nature but sometimes it’s the environment that connects us so I think that it is good that you found a way to grow spiritually. Good luck on your journey.

  3. spending time in the outdoors is so important. Not only does it do the body good, but also the mind. Being able to it back and enjoy the natural beauty is something that many of us take for granted. Good luck in your future endeavors at Kaplan and I wish you much success!

  4. Hi Leslie

Great blog this week. I am glad you saw changes from class as did I. I like the fact we can help ourselves just by getting our minds in a good place. If more people did this we would all be so much better. I feel I am at an 8 on things and that is because we can never be perfect and we can always work to be better. Good luck with your future plans I am sure they will be great.
